Mondelez South Africa’s Navisha Bechan-Sewkuran joined SABC News to discuss Mondelez International Foundation’s partnership with INMED Partnerships for Children to bring Health in Action to 116 disadvantaged schools in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg, South Africa. Health in Action promotes better nutrition and healthy lifestyles via education, school gardens, aquaponics and physical activity. The program also provides jobs for unemployed youth, who lead physical education activities as Break Time Buddies in the schools, and uses aquaponics to provide fresh produce and fish to more than 20 disadvantaged schools in Port Elizabeth.
