About Us
INMED South Africa was formerly established in 2009 to serve the needs of vulnerable children and families in Southern Africa by building effective systems that deliver innovative and sustainable approaches to breaking complex cycles of poverty for current and future generations.
Working closely with local communities, governments, businesses, tertiary institutions, and other development agencies, INMED South Africa identifies the unique challenges that disadvantaged communities face. It tailors its solutions to address those challenges. Through programmes that strengthen food security, health and nutrition, workforce skills and community development, INMED South Africa empowers children, families, schools, and communities to achieve well-being and self-reliance, including persons with disabilities.
INMED South Africa’s programs in climate-smart agriculture and aquaponics, maternal and child health and nutrition, and economic development have made a sustainable impact on the lives of thousands of children and their families in South Africa. These programmes are designed to be holistic and address not just immediate needs but also long-term challenges that can perpetuate cycles of poverty.
