Donor Privacy Policy

INMED Partnerships for Children is committed to our donors’ privacy rights. We guarantee that we will not sell or trade our donors’ personal or contact information with anyone else, nor will we send mailings on behalf of other organizations.

 

We add our donors’ contact information to our database for the purpose of sending gift acknowledgements, e-mail newsletters, future solicitations and other occasional communications. Our donors’ contact information will not be used for any other purposes.

 

You may update your information by emailing contact@inmed.org.za and include the old and new information to be changed. You may request to be removed from our mailing lists by contacting contact@inmed.org.za

INMED cares about your privacy, we will only collect information that is appropriate and relevant to the purpose for which it is being collected. Collection of Voluntarily Submitted Data

INMED provides services that may require the collection of personally identifiable information (PII) including but not limited to name, email address, mailing address and/or phone number. This information may be collected when but not limited to ordering event tickets, purchasing event sponsorships, making a donation, signing up for our mailing list, and/or registering for an INMED program, training or event on INMED’s websites.

 

If you choose to submit personally identifiable information (PII) about yourself, INMED may collect and store this information for future use. We collect, retain and use this information only to the extent we reasonably believe necessary to administer our business, provide services you have requested, protect the integrity of INMED’s business practices and/or secure our systems from unauthorized or abusive access.

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned regularly for security holes and known vulnerabilities to make your visit to our website as safe as possible.

Additionally, if you are a European resident, note that we are processing your information to fulfil transactions we might have with you (for example, if you purchase event tickets or make a donation through INMED’s websites), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe to South Africa.

According to POPIA, we agree to the following:

  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters.
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
  • Honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can follow the instructions at the bottom of each email, and you will automatically be removed from our databases.
